The nutritional content of broccoli
I like to eat broccoli. It is due to the fact that it is high in many nutrients, including fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, and potassium. Broccoli has a more comprehensive mineral composition than other vegetables. It is rich in calcium, phosphorus, zinc, and manganese
Besides, broccoli’s nutritional content is not only high, but also very comprehensive, mainly including protein, carbohydrate, fat, minerals, vitamin C and carotene.
As far as I know, broccoli is considered to be a cruciferous vegetable like cabbage, kale, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts.
I enjoy it both raw and cooked. A recent research shows that gentle steaming provides the most health benefits. This vegetable consists of almost 90% water, 7% carbs, 3% protein, and almost no fat. It is very low in calories, providing only 31 calories per cup (91 grams).
I ever read an analysis, it says every 100 grams of fresh broccoli contains 3.5 grams to 4.5 grams of protein, which is 3 times that of cauliflower and 4 times that of tomatoes. This vegetable consists of almost 90% water, 7% carbs, 3% protein, and almost no fat. It is very low calories, provides only 31 calories per cup (91 grams)
I would strongly recommend you to consume more of this vegetable to get its nutritional contents for better health.
